Weekly Letter from the Principal

                                                                            August 4, 2010

Dear Parents,

I hope that you are all being able to survive this hot weather.  It’s been a very fast and very HOT summer.  Let us pray that the weather cools down some before the children have to return to school!

This letter is to remind you that our registration/open house will be held on Thursday,  August 12 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the school cafeteria.   The classroom teachers will have an opportunity to speak to you about the upcoming year, and you can find out about programs which will be beneficial to Our Lady of Fatima School and its children.  Parents and students can get lockers, check out the uniform shop, meet teachers, and get information about the upcoming school year.  Just a reminder that all used uniforms will be $1.00 a piece.

Please remember that all new students and kindergarten students need to sign the new student and family registration forms, complete a transfer of records release, bring a baptismal certificate (if Catholic and not baptized in this parish), bring immunization records, a birth certificate, and social security number.  Many of you have already sent this information to the office.

You may purchase lunch cards and milk cards and receive the August menu.  Lunches will be $2.60 a day this year.  Milks will be $.50 each.

School T-shirts will be available for purchase on that day.   Children’s sizes will be $10. and Adult sizes will be $12.  You may also need to call the office to order some of the new monogrammed polo shirts that both the boys and the girls will be wearing this year!

Thanks to Christine Bennett who has been busy this summer up-dating our web page at www.ourladyoffatimaschool.com  If you need a reminder of your child’s school supply list, you can find it below.   If you shop at Office Depot, please have them credit your purchase to Our Lady of Fatima School.  We receive a percentage of all supplies purchased there.

At the Open House, please check out the “Back to School” Family Night to be held on Friday, August 20, at the Mid-Towne Swimming Pool in Bryant.  Thanks to Aaron and Abbie Jones for this invitation.  Make plans to bring your family and friends.

Please enjoy the remainder of the summer.  Office hours may vary throughout the summer; however, you may leave a message, and we will return your call as soon as possible.

                                                               May God bless you all,

                                                               Jan Cash
